Richard and Cassie - BRING IT ON!
Brendon Pongia by all accounts deserves to be out of the competition. I was literally in a state of shock when he wasn't named in the bottom two this week. But you know what it is....
You know what it is keeping him in the competition to the top three, despite his limited dance ability? Is it his good looks? NO. Is it his old-lady morning-TV fanbase? NO.
It's the
Power of Kate. Kate always wins competitions. She has a zen-like ability to overcome the odds. Cases in point: the jelly-eating competition, the pizza-eating competition, the game of HORSE, the Big Brother Sweeps... and countless others.
Brendon has an almost unfair advantage over Suzanne and Megan.
I pity the fool who tries to take me and Brendon on. We have developed a kind of untouchable arrogance. We are in the zone. Long may it last.

I am going to go and buy some
Grainwaves. I have a hankering for 'em. I will be back in a minute.
Or perhaps I will change my mind by then. Despite having had lots of drinks of
milo and water I'm feeling funny-in-the-head. That's my dehydrated feeling.
Hmm. I just guzzled down half my drink-bottle of water. Maybe I was a little thirsty. That may help.
Two Little Blackbirds sitting on a Wall. One named Peter. One named Paul.

Done. I got
Salsa flavoured. Honey Mustard was briefly considered, as was Cheese.

You know what I miss about Matt.... I used to absent-
mindedly wipe my hands on him when I was eating something crumby. You know how you kinda do it subconsciously.... I'd touch his shoulder or something, but just drag my hand along a little so the crumbs would transfer (without even thinking about it). He sometimes complained. He took better care of his clothes than me......
I just thought of that because I had to wipe my hand on my own pants to get the
Grainwaves crumbs off.
Funny the things you miss.

HazardThere is a nifty new computer-pod at school that has 11 brand-spanking new computers. The kind that have the hard-drive actually built into the screen. They are fancy. To go with the fancy new computers we have fancy new office chairs.
They go fast. I was pushing myself around the pod to talk to various girls... and then I finished and was wheeling my way back to my computer, at the end of the pod....... when I discovered the office-chairs don't handle the turns very well.
I may have given myself an extra big push..... only to collide noisily with the rubbish bin at the end of the room when my chair failed to change directions when I wanted it to.
It
muchly amused my students.
Apparently there's a foods teacher at our school who uses a whistle in class.
Sweeeeet. I love whistles. They demand respect.

I have had to wipe my hand on my own pants two more times. Damned crumbs. Oh, and I've wiped it on my shoulder twice too.

I went to Quiz in Pet-one last night. The only thing I remember getting right all night was 'Eva
Longeria'. Gossip magazines
do teach you something, kids.

Sarah gets back 8.25am Friday. She is my good-good friend from
highschool. She is second-cousins with Ange and used to play netball with Fish and Sam (her and Sam were a great Attacking combo). She falls over a lot when she plays sports, but she's way more better at it than me. We played basketball together at college - we called ourselves The Terminator and The Exterminator (I forget who was which). We flatted together for two years in
Berhampore when I was at T-coll and in my first year teaching. She wore
pajamas and slippers around the flat most of the time and had copious cups of tea. We created a 'Wall of Mark' with funny posters we made up about our flatmate, Mark. He was magnificent and thought a sexton was the most important thing you would save in a ship-wreck. She used to drive a mini. She was obsessed with
Weezer for a while so borrowed my 'smart glasses' on
occasion so she could look like the lead singer. She was the one who drank my hot-water-bottle water by mistake when I was reheating it in the kettle.
She has been in Eng-a-land for four years. She is having a visit home for the first time since she left! I will look much older than when she last saw me. And have much longer hair (I was in my short-hair phase when last I saw her).

Must dash. Couple of hours of marking to do. Then I can relax. No pub quiz in Hataitai tonight.

There ya go Ange - I blogged! Just for you, my loyal fanbase. Wouldn't want you to be bored at work first thing in the morning.

The HOD Maths was in the workroom today with me and commented on how envious he is of my typing skills. He said that several times he's turned around to see who was tip-tapping on the keys so fast, and it was always me. I am a speed demon. That's what you get for taking typing up to sixth form, baby. I betcha nobody else at my school ever got top of maths and top of typing in the same year.

My plant is doing very well considering I've watered it about twice in the last month. It's a hardy wee thing! I might reward it by watering it right now. You gotta make them
want the water.
