It said my singing was 'awful'! and 'bad'! Now, I may have been a little drunk and I may have been trying to rap 'Ice, Ice, Baby' (who knew it had so many obscure verses and so many words to it???)..... but 'awful' seems a little harsh! In MY memories people applauded and cheered when I was done.....
I will go away into my secret cave and practise and practise and practise until I figure out a way to beat the machine. If there is some way to improve my scores without actually becoming a better singing, if there is some way to beat the system.... I WILL FIND IT!
I will come back better than ever, damnit!
Watch this space.
Note: I did finally win a bout when I took on the REALLY drunk girl (the one with the bad 80s hairdo and jeans with pictures of fairies on them). We sang 'The Final Countdown'. She did miss the first verse of so, to be fair, while Matt soundly refused to join in (I thought I could make him waver with my drunken charm, but he soberly stood firm on his 'no, I will not sing with you' status - I think he's due for a K-bar outting). I turned around and saw that she was lingering behind us, her ears having pricked up at the sound of the glam-rock synthesiser...... and said, 'YOU will sing with me, won't you?'
I am going to go and eat some more cookies 'n cream icecream. If one of my flatmates has pilfered it I will be ANGRY ANGRY ANGRY! Probably not a sensible latenight snack, but I flout the rules of healthy eating! My belly makes me. It is powerful and persuasive.
