I liked today. It was an easy day. I taught two classes and got paid for a full day's work...... Shhh, don't tell the Ministry.
I played basketball. It was good too. Lots of running and shooting and passing and rebounding. I feel virtuous and fit! I was playing against students from my school and I don't think I embarrassed myself too badly. Scored some points. Kept up reasonably well. Didn't injure any small children.

But the highlight of my day was ..... Sven(with a)d's hospitality! I had a feeling my casual hint about coming over for tea-and-biccies after basketball would result in there actually being a tray of freshly baked cookies being taken out of the oven ten minutes after I arrived and me being given a selection of exotic sounding herbal teas from the T-shop. And I was right!
I asked an innocent question about whether he had forced C. to role-play with him yet (not something you'd openly ask non-RPG folk).... and half and hour later he stopped for air and C. was able to say, 'So... yes, that's actually how we met'. I actually enjoyed the speil he'd given on the intricacies of RPG, though I was disappointed that there wasn't more physical acting out of the scenarios. I stand by believing it's a great creative outlet for grownups (in theory). Certainly more structured than me and Cassie deciding to put on obnoxious faux-British accents and trying to convince people she's 32nd in line to the throne.....
I think I'd quite like to do a murder-mystery party for my birthday this year. Though, that limits the numbers and I do enjoy asking random people (those ones on the fringe of the social group, or the ones I only see socially once a year at my birthday.... like James and Meredith).
I am possibly going to a 'Nurses, Air Hostesses and Dirty Old Perverts' themed party in the weekend. Erm. I think I'm more comfortable dressing up like Helen Clark - but I'll give the slutty costumes a go, I guess. They have these little Star Trek mini-dresses at the Costume Cave.... I could go as a futuristic air hostess from the Starship Enterprise! That would be geeky......* * *
While I'm uploading photos..... Cassie (or was it Ange?) mentioned this weekend that everybody knows someone who looks like jesus. Here's my brother in a rather unkempt phase. What a mane of hair he sported! He is a man, a hairy man.

I think the Star Trek idea is a good one. You could pull that off easily. You should get some pointy things for your ears so you look like a...umm.. is it a Klingon? Or a Vulcan?
